Today we went over the answers to the Electron Configuration Practice Worksheet for those who weren't here yesterday. We took notes on writing We learned how to find the number of valance electrons an element has and how to draw electron dot diagrams. We did the Unit 3 practice test in class, and checked the answers.

Most students checked out after the ACT, and seniors were at ICC, so we went over last night's homework and the we played Electron Configuration Battleship.
Today we went over yesterday's homework and I answered any questions. Since students were still unsure, we spent the rest of Class completing Light Equations worksheet #3 in groups and with teacher input to master this skill.
Homework: Take notes on the Flipchart pages 30-50 Today we went over the Bohr Model Worksheet and we did a class activity looking up wavelengths and transitions. We took notes on :
Today we went over the POGIL worksheet and answered any questions. We took notes on the history of atomic theory and the Bohr Model in particular. We did examples of how to read the Bohr chart found in our reference table.
Homework: Bohr Model Worksheet Today we finished up the Nuclear Chemistry notes. We calculated our yearly exposure to radiation and turned a screen shot in to a drop box. We got to see radioactive samples and analyze them with a geiger counter.
We worked on the practice test. Tomorrow we will look over the answers before we take the test. Homework: Finish Practice Test and STUDY! Today we went over yesterday's homework and worked the problems step by step when needed.
We took notes on uses of radiation, nuclear power, nuclear disasters, and the pros and cons of nuclear power. Homework: be sure you are preparing for Friday's test, memorizing the particle properties and reviewing the flipchart. |
