Today we went over the conversion problems from yesterday and we worked examples. We also went over the answers to the light equations worksheet. We took notes on:
Classwork and homework: Electron Configuration POGIL pages 1-4 Today we went over the conversion homework and I answered any questions. There will be questions like this on the test.
We took notes on: Wave characteristics Light Light equations Converting units Classwork and homework: Wavelength, frequency, energy problems Today all juniors took the ACT. Students in class worked on conversions and we did some one on one tutoring.
Today we went over the Metric conversions homework, and I answered any questions.
We took notes and did guided examples of the dimensional analysis or factor-label method of problem solving. Classwork and Homework: Page 1 and page 5 in your math packet. Today we made sure we understood the POGIL exercise and how the emission spectra we observed relates to changes happening in the atom with the electrons. We went outside to a set of steps and modeled electrons movements within Bohr's model.
We took notes on:
Today we worked in groups to complete the Electron Energy and Light POGIL.
We used spectra film to observe emission spectra for a variety of elements. We went over most of the POGIL answers--we will finish this tomorrow.
