Today we took the time to finish our Cartoon Projects. We also worked on two online Gizmos--Rock Cycle and Rock Identification. These are due Tuesday in class.
Today we took notes on Mineral Identification and the tests used. We each researched a mineral on a site provided by the teacher, then drew cartoons representing 4 characteristics of the mineral. These are due MONDAY!
Today we played Kahoot and quizlet Live to reveiw for tomorrow's tests.
STUDY YOUR NOTE PACKETS IN PREPARATION! Today we finished taking notes on the Motion of the Earth. We played Kahoot to practice recognizing Moon Phases. We will continue with review tomorrow.
Today we went over the notes about the life cycle of stars and cleared up mis-conceptions.
Students received a grade on the Star Life cycle cut and paste activity. We went through the Webquest resources together as a class and filled in the worksheets as we went. We turned these in for a grade at the end of class. We started going over notes for the Earth Moon and Sun section. I appreciate all of the hard work and good behavior while I was out sick! Pass out life cycle of a star guided notes from table just inside the door. Students go to Canvas astronomy and open life cycle of a star key note and take notes individually. If they finish, they should complete cut and paste activity at the end of their notes packet. They can then begin the webquest found on the front table. Today we talked about the answers to our Station Labs. We watched a video of scientist building a scale model of the solar system in the desert.
