Today we went over our practice test step by step and I answered any questions. Our Unit 7 Reactions Test will be tomorrow!
Today we went over work from the weekend. We learned to write complete and net ionic equations for double replacement reactions.
Classwork and homework: Write ionic equations for the first 4 reactions on the DR worksheet #1 that actually react. Today Mrs. Scofield was absent, so we did a Gizmo on reactions and worked on a practice test and to finish all of the work due up to this point. We will go over all of this next week prior to the Unit Test.
Today we went over yesterday's homework and I answered any questions. We talked about the lab and how it agreed or disagreed with our expectations. We took notes on single replacement reactions and how to use the activity series to predict whether or not a reaction would happen. We did examples together in class.
Tomorrow Mrs. Scofield will be absent. Homework: HW Packet pg 12 Today we conducted the Activities of Metals Lab. We will discus this with our groups tomorrow. We went over Page 13 in our HW packet--Double replacement. We also checked the answers to the synthesis worksheet, page 6.
Homework: Page 14 Double Replacement Today we went over yesterday's homework and I answered any questions. We took notes on double replacement reactions and how to determine if a reaction has actually occurred. We learned to use the solubility chart.
Classwork and homework: HW packet page 13 Today we went over the weekend homework and I answered any questions. We took notes on predicting the products of specific reaction types using the chart in our reference table. We did examples of each type in class a s a group.
Classwork and homework:Complete pages 6,7, 8(1-4), 9 (even) Today We went over the problems assigned yesterday and I worked the word problems one by one. We took notes on the different types of reactions and how to recognize them.
Classwork and Homework: Complete pages 1,3, and 4 and 5 in your homework packet and tell what type of reactions each problem represents. Today we started learning about chemical reactions by conducting several demonstrations to observe the indicators of chemical change. We used a pHET interactive to explore the balancing process. We took notes on reaction and balancing reactions.
Homework: Finish the pHET interactive and worksheet. Complete page 1 and page 3 of yourReactions HW Packet. |
