Today we went over the practice test question by question and I answered any questions. The test will be TOMORROW!
We completed an inquiry lab, buying tests to determine if given substances were covalent, polar covalent, or ionic compounds, or metals. The group with the most compounds properly identified and the most "Scobucks" remaining wins! Homework: STUDY FOR TEST! Today we went over the homework from the weekend, and I answered any questions. We took notes on the three common intermolecular forces and how to tell whether or not they are present. I gave out the practice test for the unit.
Classwork and Homework: Add the strongest intermolecular force to each of the twenty Lewis structures we've been working on. Complete the practice test. Today we went over yesterday's homework. We saw several demonstrations of polar behavior. We took notes on Polarity and practice determining whether a molecule is polar or not.
Homework: Determine polarity for each f the twenty Lewis structures we have been working on. Finish the Chemical Bonding worksheet--all pages. Today we went over yesterday's homework and i answered any questions.
We took notes on:
Today we went over the homework from yesterday--Worksheet on Chemical Bonding Ionic Bonding pg 1.
We took notes on:
Classwork and Homework: Worksheet on Chemical Bonding Ionic Bonding pg 2, covalent bonding, and #1-10 on writing Lewis Structures Step by Step. We took a few minutes to talk about the Bonding Videos Assignment--this must be submitted in Canvas tomorrow.
Today we went over the answers to the Hydrates worksheet, then we worked the Practice test out problem by problem. I answered any questions. We played quizlet live, quizizz, and kahoot to review.
